Kim Collins

Instructor:Kim Collins
Experience:Kim has been training dogs for over 20 years. She owns and operates Pawsitive Steps Canine Sports Centre in Prince George,BC,a training facility dedicated solely to the promotion of positive,non-aggressive training techniques for pet and performance dogs. Kim’s teaching background comes from spending 20 years as a dance teacher and choreographer. She now devotes herself full time to helping people and their dogs develop positive relationships through education,training and canine sports.
Kim competes in AAC,CKC and USDAA Agility. Kim has had an impressive agility career over the last 10 years,winning both the USDAA National Agility Championship and three Canadian National Agility Championships along with 11 Regional Agility Championships with three different dogs to date. She has been an AAC Masters level judge since 2000. Kim has also competed in CKC Obedience and CARO Rally Obedience earning multiple titles with multiple dogs. Kim shares her life with her husband Rob Struthers and their 8 dogs ranging in age from 3 to 13 years old. Currently the household is six border collies,one sheltie and one rescue border collie cross.
Continuing Education:Kim continues to contribute her knowledge back to the agility community she loves by traveling and teaching seminars all over Canada. She also hosts an annual Agility Camp for Puppies and Novice dogs right through to Masters level dogs. To ensure that her seminar content is always the most up to date training methods,she regularly attends seminars and workshops presented by many of the top agility handlers and trainers in the sport. Kim is a regular student of Susan Garrett’s and attends camps with Susan Garrett and Greg and Laura Derrett at least twice a year. She is also a regular attendee of Susan Salo’s Jumping clinics,attending one advanced jump clinic every 6 months.
International Experience:Kim was a member of the Agility Association of Canada’s 2004 Canadian World Team with two of her dogs,Bryn and Feyd,and traveled to Valencia,Spain to compete. Kim is the current Captain and Coach for the CKC Agility Team Canada. This team represents Canada at the FCI World Championships,the largest Agility World Championship for our sport. Kim was also the Coach for the 2011 WAO Agility World Team that competed in England May 2011.
Kim’s first book “From the Ground Up” an agility foundation training manual,came out in July of 2006 and can be ordered through Dogwise or Clean Run magazine. Kim has written articles on the sport of agility for both Clean Run and DogSport magazines.

Pat Krebs

Pat Krebs – Instructor – Assistant Training Director
Pat has been involved with dogs and dog training for over 30 years. She trains and competes in Agility,CKC Obedience and has added Rally Obedience to her repertoire.
She has earned obedience titles on 3 different breeds of dogs over the years. She has competed regionally and nationally with her current dog,an Australian Shepherd named Gibson,in Agility. Pat and Gibson placed 6th overall in the AAC Canadian National Championships in 2002 and qualified for and competed in the 2003,2004,2005 and 2006 Nationals as well. Pat is currently working with her young Sheltie Spryte and competing in Agility,Rally O and Obedience with her as well. Spryte is showing great promise in all the dog sports!
Pat has been teaching competitive obedience for 13 years and Rally O for the last 9 years and is a CARO Rally Obedience judge.
Pat’s upbeat approach to dog training has earned her a special place in the hearts of her students and their dogs. Her patience and willingness to work thru training issues has made her a favorite at Pawsitive Steps!
